MUSNC

Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Musinc is made by Corvus Consulting Inc. ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Musinc iPhone app. The short version: we don't collect any.

No account, no tracking

Musinc has no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no server of its own. We do not collect, store, sell or share personal information, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

Microphone

Musinc uses the microphone only while you are syncing ("musincing"), to recognise the song playing nearby and to line up your iPhone's copy with it. The audio is processed on your device and is never recorded, saved or sent to us. Song recognition uses Apple's ShazamKit service, which sends a short audio signature (not a recording) to Apple to identify the song. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Your music library and Apple Music

With your permission, Musinc looks in your music library for your own copy of the song it heard, and may play it through Apple Music or your iCloud purchases. This happens on your device; we never see your library.

Purchases

The optional one-time "Musinc Unlimited" purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.

Information kept on your device

Musinc stores a few settings on your iPhone only: how many free syncs you've used, whether you've seen the intro, and timing measurements that help it sync faster next time. Deleting the app removes them, except the free-sync count, which is kept in the iPhone's Keychain so reinstalling doesn't reset it.

Children

Musinc does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
